OFFICIAL Pricing Thread
what is a reasonable OTD price for a 2009 Lexus IS250 base model with the heated seats and premium package?
It is near end of year now, November 2011, and I see 2012 Lexus IS is being sold now.
in CA checked DMV tool http://dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculatorWeb/index.jsp and looks like I can expect $2000 range for fees, etc.

I am going to buy 2012 is350 with f-sport package tomorrow. I checked prices on the cars.com, edmunds.com and etc to avoid overpaying for purchase. The best price they offer was $47,500 drive out for $46,000 MSRP. Is that too much to pay? I have no one around me who owned new is350 so I have no idea what others pay. I check the price on edmunds.com and the price they offered was below TMV. Is that good price to buy?
Please advise. Thanks in advance

Similar situation myself. Been talking with the dealership and am not getting too far with them. So far...
Car = 2012 iS350 F-Sport
MSRP = $46,128
Best offer so far = $44,000 +ttl (includes transport from out-of-state)
or
+intake+exhaust = $46,000+ttl
Thoughts?
Another question... how do I use this truecar thing to my advantage?
**Update: I think I figured it out. TC price is $44,374. But, there are no participating dealerships near me. it says nearest is about 150 miles away. So, how can I use this then?

Hello all, I just signed all the paperwork for a 2011 Starfire Pearl White with the F-Sport package, Navigation and preferred accessory package. Although it had no previous owner, it has 9,000 miles cause it was a "demo" car... Was $37,066 before down payment and tax, is this a good price in this situation? The APR was set at 5.24% with 688 credit score, was that reasonable?
I noted the car has front paint protection film except on the bumper and they are saying it doesnt come with it, can this be true even though the fenders, hood and side mirrors have it? My '06 350 had in those places plus the front bumper! Note that It says paint protection film on the sticker!
Please advise before I pick up on Thursday in case I should back down to these specific offers/options before the 48hrs, thanks.

My 2012 Nebula Grey IS350 F-Sport Package was $45,810 sticker. Dealer took $3,094 off, resulting in the price of the car at $42,716 (couldn't discount more because it's a 2012 model). No special order because Longo had the car. Heck, I wasn't even going to get the car (going to dealers to test drive cars can be a very costly hobby). F-Sport Package, Nav and Backup Camera, with NO accessories installed. Negotiated for about 2 hours on the term, and made them install the rear bumper applique, and they threw in a keychain. Thanks to my credit issues, the deal wasn't as attractive as I wanted it to be, but the same can be said with any other manufacturer and model.
I am presuming your new purchase was a 2011 "iS350".
For my 2012 iS350 F-Sport, I got it for $43k with a 1.9% APR (for 2012 sales) with similar credit score as you. And, they threw in the F-Sport intake (a $590 dealership value). It had a grand total of 10 miles on it. It has Nav and the applique on rear bumper but no protection film whatsoever.
Would I have taken a 2011 demo w/ 9k miles on it for $6k less? I sure would have. I would have to crunch the numbers though to see how the 1.9APR would work out compared to the 5.24% you got.

Yes Vipor, it is a 2011 as mentioned in the post. I really wanted an F-Sport IS350 and this was the only one available in the New England area, well, I already did the paperwork so it really doesnt matter. I sent an E-mail to the sales consultant with bcc to all the different managers I saw in their website, with a picture of the invoice sticker and a snapshot of the website where it describes where the protective film is applied, he then called me the next day and said it was going to be taken care of, so far he said it will be ready sunday, im happy now
Found a used 2009 Is250 with navigation, not sure what the package is...
33,000 miles, only 21.5k, has a clean title, but carfax reports an Odometer issue, how concerned should i be? is the odometer easily fixed?
could this car actually have like 120K miles? lol carfax states, after 35,000 the mileage is unreliable?
NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE TITLE ISSUED
hmm owner's post said he is "moving" but the car was only purchased 4 months ago( late dec 2011) major red flag, but opinions?

Found and bought a 2006 IS250 for about $9,000 with 124k miles. It was less than KBB price and is running great. Only thing wrong with it is cosmetic (as far as I know).
The previous owner(s) had gotten the car keyed on the rear right fender and the front left fender to the driver side door, front bumper scratches, front lip damage, rear bumper scratches, some door dings, and some dents. Sounds worse than it looks, but yes, there is something damaged around the entire car. Noticeable if you look hard enough (except the bumpers and keying)
I'll post photos of it soon, but what do you guys think about the price? I'm thinking because of the front and back bumpers are going to cost a lot to repair, I was thinking of trying to get a deal on an ISF style front and rear end, get the scratches and dents repaired, and the whole car will look better than new.

I dont know if there is a thread for this or not but i'll start. How much did everyone pay for their 2IS. I got my 2008 is250 for $14,000 with 40K miles on it. I also know a guy that got a 2009 is250 for $16,000 with 10K miles.
