That AWD price seems WAY out of line. Over $3000 for AWD?
I am hoping that the AWD comes with some sort of default luxury package other than just leather and heated/vented seats. With Nav and PLP Package a fully loaded IS250 AWD would come in at over $38,000. How is that a value in this segment Bob Carter?

The IS 250 all-wheel drive MSRP is $34,285 and, in addition to the above features, includes a perforated leather-trimmed interior upgrade with heated and ventilated front seats and wood trim.
The IS 350, the fastest sport sedan in the near luxury car segment, MSRP is $35,440. Its highly tuned 3.5-liter engine delivers a best-in-class 306 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque, resulting in the quickest zero-to-60 mph time of any competitor sport sedan.
In all, Lexus definately went straight for the jugular. These are very competitive prices that will draw a lot of people from BMW. Yes, BMW is a great performance car, but for people who will drive their car everyday, people will look for value and luxury and safety. The IS will attract a lot of people who really won't mind the loss of performance for the gain of value/luxury/comfort.

Great price for the IS350 unless you consider competitors such as G35 (37k loaded) or TL (36k loaded). Of course, those two don't quite have the performance, luxury or refinement of the IS. For some, a $5k difference is a lot. Personally I would choose the Lexus--I loved my G35 coupe's styling and performance, but was sorely disappointed by the quality of its interior. If the IS's interior is as refined as my RX330, I will be thrilled.

yep....to me the TL is still a damn good deal, but for a few extra grand you can have a slew of features that arent even available on the TL, plus the Lexus quality and increased power of the 350. I think if you just added Navi and a sunroof(wait isnt the sunroof standard on the IS350??), then I think you will end up with a price indentical to a TL with Navi. Just my speculation.

This isn't even mentioning that the '06 TL can be bought for $33K fairly easily, and sometimes down to $32K.

My wife has wanted me to delay the 330i ED to see the pricing on the IS350.
At $35440 for a base car. Adding all the bell and whistle, you are looking at $42k to $45k large.
While through ED, I can get a fully loaded 330i with all available options save the active steering and cold weather pkg $42,445 (including dealer profit of 1k). I will get additional 1k rebate from BMWCCA for being a member. My net cost on the 330i would actually be $1k to $4k lower than IS350. On top of lower price, I also will get 4 years maint. along with free brakes to go with 330i.
I guess me and my wife are going to munich for sure. Back in late 2000, my solar yellow IS300 was about $10k less than 330i, thus making it a great value and offered good performance as well. Is350 is a beast on the straight line, but at price that is higher than 330i and no free maint. I really don't see how Lexus can compete effectively.
