i'm curious to see the EPA...thanks a lot

What is "Cathodic Electro-Deposition treatment" ?

jrock65 08-19-05 02:01 PM

Interesting that the IS250 auto is actually slighter lighter than the stick.

And the 7.9s estimate, is that for both the auto and the stick?

optional body kit?
that sounds great
anyone know how it will look?

Whoa thanks flip for all the specs.

So the rear 18" wheels are officially wider than the front, not just tires.:bigthumbu

Strange that the 350 has the same front/rear weight distribution as the 250. 52/48 is pretty damn perfectly balanced.

I do hope the 0-60mph time of 5.6s can be reproduced by some magazine though. So far none has done lower than 5.9s.

I'm interested to see what the kit and spoiler looks like. to Lexus for making it an option.

Also something that wasn't mentioned in that listing, 2 different optional 18" wheel offerings.

Sounds like a fancy way of saying metalic paint.;)

Actually it is in the last image you posted.:) I forgot to point it out though. Really wanna see what the other style looks like since I'm not exactly too crazy about the standard 18" wheels shown in every pic.

why does the IS350 have the same top speed as the IS250, is it limited?

rominl 08-19-05 02:39 PM

wow, awesome spec. something that caught my eyes....
1) the new IS is pretty heavy, i believe it's like more than 100lb heavier than the old one?
2)the weight distribution is pretty damn nice at 52/48!
3) higher redline is always good
4) the compression ratio on the IS250 is very high! i guess FI will be tough?
5) 4.xx gear ratio on the IS350!!!!! wow!
6) and the 0-60 of the is350 is very promising :)

At least we already have some fuel economy numbers from lexus.jp, which rates the combined gas mileage of the IS250 at 28mpg, IS250 AWD at 25mpg and IS350 at 24mpg, if I remember correctly.

Their test procedure could be slightly different from that of the EPA however, so the official EPA numbers could differ a bit, but not much.

Henry...sticky please?

 that's what happens when you're only on 3 hours of sleep from last night and only 4 from the night prior. I feel like RMMGS4 right now on a Red Bull buzz. LOL :eek2:

There was rumor that one of the optional 18's was going to be called the Spider aka 18" G-Spider from the New GS? We'll have to see.
