Smoky Granite is definitely my first choice. I like light color leather a lot, so the combination with cashmere color gets my definite

Any chance the IS will get Black Bird’s-Eye Maple wood trim with one of their interior colors like the GS?

Thumbs up Black Bird’s-Eye Maple wood

That would be cool! I like it especially with the gray leather... very elegant!

I'm thinking Tungsten Mica/Sterling leather with black birds-eye trim . . . .
Drool . . .

Now if only I can find out if this combo will even be available. Not sure if aluminum trim (which could be included with the sport package???) will look good with the sterling interior. if so, I guess I'll just have to go with black interior/aluminum trim with the Tungsten. Though a dark metallic blue or the glacier color may work for me as well. Decisions, decisions. That's why I've got the wife, to help me make the hard choices.

does it seem to anyone else that the headlamps are smoked? i think that maybe its just the 350 that has the smoked lights? and it seems that smoked headlamps would sorta look really weird with certain colors.

Flip, excellent, thanks for posting this.

I love the name Breakwater Blue. That color reminds me alot of the older SC models with that light blue color that was rare to find. Do you think this color is choice for guys? I think with black interior & tinted windows that would look cool. But I wonder if this will be a color girls will choose??? I dunno know. What do you guys think?

My dealer faxed me information (part of an official Lexus IS launch presentation to dealers) on what percent of each model will be built in each color. Note they list Smokey Granite as Black Pearl. It's strange that the percent totals do not equal 100% and I don't know why.

IS 350:
Crystal White - 5.6%
Glacier Frost - 3.3%
Black Pearl - 18.9%
Tungsten Pearl - 24.5%
Black Onyx - 27.8%
Matador Red - 6.6%
Mystic Gold Mica - 0%
Desert Sage Mica - 0%
Blue Onyx - 5.5%
Breakwater Blue - 0%

IS 250:
Crystal White - 5.5%
Glacier Frost - 4%
Black Pearl - 14%
Tungsten Pearl - 23.1%
Black Onyx - 25%
Matador Red - 14.2%
Mystic Gold Mica - 0.9%
Desert Sage Mica - 0.9%
Blue Onyx - 8.3%
Breakwater Blue - 2.7%

Also in the presentation was the production mix as follows (the two percentages are at launch/sustaining):

Model 9501, Manual RWD 2.5 - 1.9%/4.0%
Model 9502, Auto RWD 2.5 - 7.2%/5.1%
Model 9506, Auto AWD 2.5 - 65.9%/65.9%
Model 9510, Auto RWD 3.5 - 24.9%/25.0%

Those look like Regional Lexus Distribution numbers. They will be different in the other regions of the US...especially here in the Western Region (CA).

Their production is based on a projection of 65.9% of all IS sedans to be sold as IS250 AWD, & less than 10% IS250 RWD ??

I still hope Lexus comes up with more 'special colors' for the IS, perhaps in future model years?

Yeah they must've based that in Chicago, or Detroit, or somewhere snowy

Yeah that doesn't make sense at all.

The numbers I provided must have been for the Midwest region, not the country as a whole. Sorry about any confusion. The presentation didn't specify it was only for a specific area.
