Car won't Crank
2010 is250
Hello, I'm having an issue where my car won't start / crank. I was driving on the freeway (very cold weather) and my car just lost power. The dash stayed on, radio stayed on, but the car would not accelerate. I felt it lose power, it was as if something just stopped. The AFS light flashed as well I get pulled over, pop the hood and moved my negative battery terminal as much as I could without tools, it was pretty tight. The car started after that, then I get back on the freeway trying to get home and it did the same thing. Now the car won't start at all or crank. I bought a new battery but that didn't help ( I didn't really think it would but I figured I'd try ). The green light comes on the ignition button when I press the brake but when I push it nothing happens. The radio and stuff works, but it doesn't even crank. I don't hear the fuel pump but I don't even think it's trying to start. It's like the button does nothing when I push it. I'm wondering if anyone might have had an issue like this or may have any suggestions where I should start. I have a mechanic coming out on Saturday to have a look but money is pretty tight for me right now so I'm trying to troubleshoot as much as possible. I checked the starter fuse and it looks fine, but I also don't think that would explain why it lost power all of a sudden. I'm not sure if it's b/c of the cold weather possibly? |

What model year is your car? And is it the 250 or 350?

Check your key FOB, try replacing the battery inside, it could be as simple as the car is not recognizing the remote key FOB. Good luck.
