i traded my truck for a 2001 lexus is300 to my best friend of 15 years he was on the way to drive it to me before he did he took his radio that he put in out. he drove two miles after and it lost power with no go. i showed up popped the hood and it was very warm under i got in the car and it cranks just fine but it wont go into gear at all when you try to put it in gear you can hear and feel the shifter move so im assuming its changing gears. it wont budge with e brake on and not on. i tried putting in m mode and still nothing i turned on ect power and i tried turning on snow mode as well. i have my tailight indicator light on my dash and check engine light. i believe i check all my ecu fuses they were all good unless i missed a box.
the car will go into park and wont move so i know that works i can also put it in neutral and roll it

how man wire harnesses should there be behind where the radio goes

 

You have a CEL....go run the code and see what pops up. Start at the top and figure out the code and then we can try to help from there.

Check Engine Light is a CEL. So do you have it showing up or not?
