Default Planning on buying a 02 is300 manual and need tips

So this Sunday I知 going to go check out the car. As far as what I know the person is the first owner and has had it since 2002. The car is stock and manual. The only problem I知 having is that the car has 300k km on it and he doesn稚 want to get it safetied and is selling it as is. He said he is not aware of any problems the car has that will prevent it from passing safety. Only minor bodywork needed based on the pictures provided the body looks clean once i go see the car i will check the bottom for any major rust. He has his invoices from the time he was leasing the car and he is fine with test driving the car. I just wanted to know if there is anything major i should look out for because the car has a lot of mileage on it. Like if its minor stuff like changing the spark plugs or brake pads and rotors i am perfectly fine with that. I almost forgot to add the price...he is asking for 3000 and it comes with all season and winter tires with rims and mats.

At 300k miles, the usual suspects should be controlled. Did the owner replace the timing belt lately ? Do you have a regular filled service book ? What where the oil changing intervals ? Is the water pump new, mid-life, old ? Where the seals around the doors changed lately ? Does the engine start well when the car is absolutely cold (when not, some sensor would need to be changed). Is the engine running regulary, because injectors or ignition coils could be old or one could be failing. Those are all costly little things that could bring the price up in the end.

Rust, of course is an important foe. If you have too much of it, don't buy the car.

For the price, I can't give an advice to you, because USA is a crazy low price area in the world for buying cars. So you reality is generally 20 to 40% lower than mine.

Valve cover gasket probably leaks.
VVTI solenoid probably needs to be replaced.
Cam seals probably need to be replaced.
Suspension bushings probably need to be replaced.

300,000km = 186,000 miles
I wouldn't worry about anything. I bought mine with 200,000 miles. These cars are built to last.
Worst thing is probably clutch. Might need a new one ending on how it was driven.
