How to restore dull front bumper?

i tried waxing my front bumper and found that it’s really dinged up. Any way to smooth out the rough spots closest to the ground?

Have you tried using a clay bar before? It does wonders to get off the caked on residue from bug splatters, etc... Looks like you have some paint chips in there as well, the clay bar won't help with that, and people eventually repaint their bumpers when it gets really bad.

Haven’t tried to clay it yet. Just washed and waxed it with Meguiars NXT Tech wax 2.0.

The clay will actually grab all the gunk or whatever off the surface of the paint/clear coat without harming it. I would highly recommend taking the time to do that, and then follow up with the wax treatment.

Here's a DIY I Googled:

I've used this product in the past with very satisfied results:

When claying the car, however, you may mar the clear coat. That's why you follow up with a machine polisher to make it clear as glass.
