Dome and Garage Door opener Fuse keeps Blowing
Hi There,
I own a 2006 Lexus IS250 with 170 000 Km. My car interior lights along with my garage homelink door opener stopped working all of the sudden . I had issues 2 days prior with the garage door opener being finicky . Then all of the sudden it stopped working along with my dome interior lights.
Yesterday I read the manual and was able to find the location of a 10 amp fuse inside the engine bay that might caused the issue . So, I went ahead and replaced it and BAMMM! everything works.Until 1 minute later; The fuse blow up again !!
So, I disconnected the battery and placed another new fuse in place . It again blow up within few seconds .
I did a batter and Alternator check and both seem fine . I called Lexus and they said they have to investigate whether there is a short or electrical problem somewhere and the It could take over 10 hours !! 10 hours X $125/h . Yeahhhh. No Thanks !!
Anyone can please help me understand why this can be an issue ? What Else Can I check ? I have no modifications or recent fixes done to the car. I always replace parts with OEM so nothing is an after market !! I only done an oil spray to the car a month ago
