Cold start (automatic) car starts put into Drive after 5 min car won't move,

Cold start (automatic) car starts put into Drive after 5 min car won't move,
GS-2nd Gen (2000). 1st start in summer morning or afternoon, starter no problem. wait for 5 min. before putting into drive, car won't move. have to accelerate slowly about 3 times car jumps and move. after the first start during the day no problem in starting and movement of vehicle into drive..What could be the problem causing car not to move first morning or afternoon start. Does it need transmission service or any other service in reference to above problem. Thanking you in advance on all replies. Jmu14

Lexus model IS200 (2000) not GS-2nd
