Exclamation Losing oil but don't know why?!?!?! Help Please!!!

So I have a 2001 is300 and the motor is recently rebuilt.....I notciced I'm losing oil but I have no clue why due to there being no visible leaks and it's definitely not burning it because there's no smoke coming out of the exhaust. So I'm wondering if maybe it's sitting in pockets in the engine somewhere or if it is leaking but in a spot where it doesn't hit the ground so I cant see it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check your oil and water and see if they are mixing. Could be a bad gasket from the rebuild. And as ^^^^ said, exactly how much are you losing. If it's a little over a few hundred miles, a rebuilt engine will do that until the tooling marks smooth out everywhere.

I'm probably losing about half a quart every 2 to 3 days

Wow! That's a lot of oil. There really aren't any "pockets" anywhere for it to hide, so it's either mixing with your coolant or you're blowing it out the tailpipe. It's been doing this since you had the engine rebuilt? What exactly was done during the rebuild?

no it hasn't at least I don't think so...it's more like this past 3 weeks or so. I had new pistons and rods, new bearings, resurfaced crank, resurface head pretty much a total rebuild on the motor but see the crazy thing is that last night it read low so I put in about half a quart and got inbetween the dots but I checked this morning and it up to the second dot on the dipstick. Idk how but more oil showed up
