Question compression

hey, can anyone tell me what the compression is on the IS3 Auto? My friend keeps telling me that if I put a turbo kit on my car, I won't be able to run more than 5PSI of boost. If I do, I will blow the engine!! Is that true?
And also, all you folks who did put turbos on your IS3, what else is REQUIRED so I don't ruin my engine if I put a turbo kit in? ex: camshafts, apexi controller, camgears, pulleys, pump, pistons, valve springs.

thanks

compression is about 10:5:1 you can run about 7-8 psi safely on stock compression on pump gas...
