Few weeks back I was driving and my throttle became unresponsive and cel came on trac off. I turned off the car and I had to push the pedal around 75% down to accelerate. When the code would pop up I would unplug the battery to take off the code for a bit. I got it checked by autozone and its was a tps code so I replaced the tsp sensor. Cel light turned off for a day then came back and tps code was still on. I took it to Lexus and they told me it was the APPS and that I need to replace it. I replaced the whole throttle body with everything including a new APPS and it worked fine for two days then cel light came back on for tps sensor. I don't know what else it can be PLEASE HELP!!

 

Most likely u have an open circuit. There is a broken wire or poor connection . Check the apps electrical circuit for poor ground and poor connection.

 

I agree. Check all the electrical connections to the throttle body sensors. Also make sure that the vacuum hoses are attached and there are no cracks in the hoses.
I recently had the same problem. Day after Thanksgiving car went into limp mode with all the symptoms you described. Took it to Autozone, they told me the exact same thing (TPS). Did some more research and decided to replace the entire throttle body, with sensors. I didn't want to change the sensors because those things have to be calibrated, so I bought a used throttle body with sensors already on it from a junkyard in Pensacola. Swapped it out this past Friday, and all seems to be well.
Did you give the ECU a chance to "re-learn" itself? What I mean is after you hooked everything back up, did you let the car sit and let the computer adjust the idle? When I first replaced the TB I was so excited I jumped in the car, revved it up and the CEL and TRAC OFF lights popped up again. I then re-set the ECU by pulling the battery, reattached everything, and then let the car sit for about 10 minutes until the idle went to normal (750 RPM). Car is actually running better now.
