Default How to disable an aftermarket alarm

I have done a lot of research but can't find any straight up answers. Bought a 2004 lexus is300 from a friend of mine who is leaving the state for a job, car has been parked in his garage because the aftermarket alarm it has on it keeps going off and prevents the car from starting.
I brought it home, need to know what are the first step in disabling this alarm? I have cut the wire going to the siren as it is so annoying. As soon as you connect the battery the alarm goes off.. When you try to crank it there is nothing, i have a jumper cable on the battery as well.....Put it in neutral same thing...Even with the original key fob lock or unlocked same thing, i have a key and then the fob/remote itself broke from the key so am using 2 pieces, but key turns ignition on and key fob works, also a valet key....any idea? i guess disabling a fuse or the wires going to the starter from the alarm?

first off, welcome. there's usually a disable switch located in the interior, sometimes placed in the driver side foot well. For us this was switch was malfunctioning and we didn't have the remote and we were ultimately left with the only choice off removing the aftermarket alarm completely. We did this by following an LED wire (blinked red when the alarm was armed) to the alarms black box in the car. To get to the black box to remove the center console, stereo etc and one by one we disconnected each wire connected to the aftermarket alarm and restored any cuts (resolder wires or use crimps). Take your time when you decide to do this. If you do not feel comfortable, I suggest taking it in to aftermarket alarm installer and have it uninstalled. good luck
