Question Odometer rising

Hi, I just bought a 2001 lexus is300 on Tuesday and I am experiencing issues with the odometer. I drove approximately 115 miles to get this car and then back home. Before I drove home the odometer read around 160k, when I got home it read 180k and now two days later is reading 220k. I am feeling a little bit worried at this point and wondering if it has been tampered with or if this could just be an issue with the odometer in itself? Keep in mind that the listing on craigslist before I bought it had said 160k...

who...that's very weird. my first thought that it was reading km, but those are huge jumps. I would take it to the dealer and see what they say. odometers are a touchy subject when it comes to tampering. hopefully the owner before didn't mess w/ it.

Thank you for your feedback, I figured out that my car was in the trip setting and not the odo setting haha, I didn't realize it had different settings.
