I don't know when and where i'll get the IS300 but I see a lot of Auto tranny IS300... I'd figure I just buy an auto and do the swap.... Is it hard to do? How much would it cost for everything? personally I dont have alot saved up

It is cheaper to buy a manual to start. A manual trans swap will probably cost between 1000 and 2000 to do properly.

Yea... I've done some research for a while i heard it might cost around $5000... pretty hard to find one in the states near NY

I think there's 4 of them on my local craigslist right now, and there are usually even more than that. I'd rather travel a few states to buy a manual than do a conversion. Just sourcing all the parts needed would be a huge headache.
