Coolant leak after HG replacement
Finally after about a month I got my 02 IS300 back together, after getting the head decked and replacing the HG.. Well today was her maiden voyage, 100 miles, stopped at a gas station to fill her up and run some seafoam in her since it sit for about 2 years before I got it...
Time for flash back..
Car has been done now for about a week, within this week, I have noticed I am losing coolant, not much, but some, while I try and fix some of the odds and ends.. well today, at the gas station I decided to poke my head underneath, and it was literally puking her guts out.. all over the place. Popped the hood and could not see nothing leaking, can hear it but I can not see it..
Its coming from the driver side.. Is there any coolant lines or anything that run under the Intake Manifold?

I would definitely investigate. There is a coolant line that goes from the throttle body, to the under the intake manifold on the driver's side. Not sure how far over the leak is, but there is also a coolant hose on the back side of the cylinder head in the center.
The best method would be to fill the system with water, and use a coolant pressure tester to pressurize the system and inspect it.

I am going to go out and check into this now, I know the leak is very sparatic, one minute it will leak next it wont. But I know everyday the reserve tank/overflow is almost empty and I fill it to the full mark.

The over flow tank is what loses the coolant faster than the radiator, overheating nope she stays at normal temperature, but I may have some what tracked it down, seems as if water is either coming from the Water outlet or the water pump itself I am unsure, but the top of the water pump is wet, and my alternator is soaked,,
