This may seem crazy, but we got the itch to modify
OK,
beat me if I'm wrong,
but our new to us 2001 IS300 has a 3L rear wheel drive powertrain
That has potential
and we have no way to
TOW our jet ski's to the river.
Nice ride, cruise control, 55mph
So, I'm thinking tranny cooler and a small hitch
??? ??? ???

Lol I don't think anybody will recommend doing it but if you do I wouldn't tow much more than a jet ski and make sure your brakes are up to par and also that trans cooler you mentioned. Good luck and take pics lol.

Did you get the hitch? I am looking for hitch to tow my mountain bike on my IS300.
