Talking New SoCal Owner!

Greetings Club Lexus! My name is Jill and I am a new IS300 owner as of this week! I traded my 2006 Scion tC for a beautiful 2001 Black on Black IS300. I felt the need for a more age appropriate car... I have always loved the IS300 and I finally have one of my own! My new daily driver! I am new to the Lexus scene, but not so much of a newbie, I also have a 1990 1JZGTE/R154 swapped MK3 Supra that I turned a couple wrenches on myself!

Just wanted to drop in and say Hello!

My new baby

Welcome!

Nice trade in.

Are you going to modify it?

Thanks! I think I came up on this trade! It was pretty much an even trade. Can you believe someone actually wanted a Scion tC over this?

I have some wheels I might be slapping on for a little bit. It's going to be my daily so i want it pretty low key.

a shot i took over the weekend with my bf's MKIV, the MKIII is under the car cover up front. I love my driveway!

Apparently my car came with some Tein springs and an AEM intake already... cool stuff...

But it turns out the wheels I was planning on throwing on, might be a bit too aggressive for the IS due to the fact that they are coming from a Supra... 18x9.5 and 18x10 too big?

Thanks! I love the JZ family going on here... everyone around me keeps saying how much i came up on this trade... pound of pound, the trades were fair, even down to the milage, but I feel like I definitely had a dramatic upgrade. I was so over the tC, I was looking for a way out. I was originally looking for a SportCross, but that was a difficult feat... and i was even toying with the idea of a NA MK4 Supra at one point. But I love the Lexus, the ride is so much more comfortable!

Welcome! About the wheels, what are the offsets? Depending on the amount of fender work you are willing to do, they could probably fit.

My bf brought my car to work at the dealership he works at, fixed my tint and figured out what's wrong with my driver side window - regulator and motor need replacing. Then he slapped this thing on it! Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to me!

Not exactly sure the offset - i need to go look in the barrel of the wheels. I believe its +38 all around.

18x9.5+38 and 18x10+38 (but i need to double check)

I'm planning on getting all of my fenders rolled but I'm not in too much of a rush...

It has been 6 months since I last posted my car. It has gone through some changes... Here's how it sits currently.

With my Supra... (Supra has undergone a little make-over as well)

It's not much, just cleaned it up a bit. Swapped the Panasport G7 c5c wheels that used to be on my MK3 Supra onto the IS... It actually fit a lot better! Was planning on putting the Manaray MS6 on the IS but the wheel was too wide for the rear... everything worked out better in the end!

A quick little shot of the JZ Family... My IS, my 1JZ MK3, bf's MK4TT
