2001, Lexus iS300. My wife called. She's driving through Utah. She reports a "weird" noise and then four drops of liquid fell onto her feet. The car is fine otherwise although she often reports "weird" noises. The car often has humidity problems inside but I thought that was in the winter when you run the heater. It's HOT outside and dry now - condensation shouldn't be an issue. The only thing I can think of is the heater (engine coolant - I once had a Fiat that blew a leak all over the floorboard and it was from the heater radiator). The air conditioner was being used.

Any ideas?

BTW, now that we're on the subject, why is there so much humidity inside the passenger compartment in the winter. I don't think it's rain moisture because the car is parked in a covered area and it seems to do it even when we haven't driven in the rain. The car often fogs up when we turn on the heater, forcing us to open the windows to see out.

How is the passenger compartment heated? Is there a small radiator inside the passenger compartment?

I've experienced the "drops" on my feet in the summer when wearing flip flops and driving with the AC on, 2002 Canadian bought car, im sure its the AC as stated above.
