Exclamation Need some serious help here !

Does anyone know any good shops in Atlanta that do some good work with lexus because i need someone to check my harnesses cuz my is300 wont hook(sync) up to any scanner and I am unable to read my CEL. And the car will not rev past 3000 RPM idk why. I took it to a tranny shop and they sead the tranny was ok. Just need a lexus shop to help me out here.

most of the time a scanner will not communicate with a pcm idicates a bad pcm but since your car starts not sure ...not from atl but the dealer should have insight

Make sure your OBD2 port has power... if it doesn't, some scantools will not work at all...

incorrect about scantool not working without power. that only includes scan tools that do not have their own power source. PM if you want to know where to bring it in atlanta.

When you turn your key to the ON position, do you get dummy lights? CEL and all that other good stuff?

that is exactly what I said - some scan tools require power... most of the cheapies pull their power from the OBD2 port, as well as bluetooth scanners and others...

so, it is correct, you don't have to be arrogant...
