Hey guys my mom's 95" ES300 life is about to end pretty soon lots of problems going on. I'm passing her my 00" ES300 and thinking of buying a IS300 because its looks more sportier. I saw one on Craigslist for only $5,000 though has 168,xxx miles on it and I'm pretty sure I can try to lower the price down some more. Though not knowing much about IS300 I was wondering if the community can give me some advice. Its a 2.5 hours drive to where I'm from and I don't want to waste my money and gas on something that will eventually be breaking down. I message the guy and he giving me more pictures, etc.

It looks ok, just get more photos, maintenance records, carfax, etc. Funny he says v6 and great gas mileage lol. 168,000 will be fine. These cars aren't terribly old but I know they can last for quite some time so I'd say check it out. 5k is not a bad deal. I got mine in Chicago for 8,000 it only had 97,000 miles and it's a 5 speed. I say Check it out and don't be afraid to walk away if need be.
