Default TUTORIAL: debadging your trunk...at least the dealership one

PRELUDE: i know that this one is pretty simple and for a lot of people common knowlege and that there are many different ways you can go about accomplishing this but this is the method i used so feel free to post any other methods you guys have used

You will need:
1. can of WD-40
2. dental floss or fishing line
3. cloth or rag
4. water

Step 1

hose the badge down with WD-40

Step 2

use some dental floss or fishing line and get it behind the badge then start sawing it back and forth to break the glues seal on the trunk

Step 3

once it is off, use the towel or rag to rub off the rest of the glue and hose down with water to make sure there is no more wd-40 on your paint, you dont want to leave that on there lol

Yup hair dryer does the job pretty decent as well. It makes cutting through the glue a lot easier.

agreed, blow dryer or quick heatgun action will loosen up that glue real quick.

i personally used some 3M adhesive remover to get the rest of the residue off

I just pulled mine off, and used a heat gun to remove the adhesive, then i used a lil rubbing compound to blend the areas so that you dont see a stain from the badge being there, the sunlight will fade the paint around the emblem, but not under it, thus leaving a lexus stain all over the *** end of ur car
