Some pics of the little progress made
As some of you might have seen I picked up my IS like a month ago.
I wasnt happy with a few things so I made a few changes initially to clean it up a little.
-I removed the pin stripes. . .were painted on and a royal pain in the *** to remove as well as an eye sore.
-Retinted the front windows. Pass window must have just been replaced and tint was gone. Driver side looked like crap. I redid at %35 and not happy with the look with the backs so I am redoing at %20 next week
-Did a slight detail on my own, but getting professional done in two weeks. I cleaned up the headlights a little too
- I painted my wheels gunmetal to give it a little better look .
-Ironed out some Alarm issues and reprogrammed all the functions and remotes
- fixed some stupid stereo stuff and low volume/sound q issues.
- unplugged the DRL's and put Nokya yellow bulbs in them for better highbeam vis. in bad weather
-cleaned the MAF and replaced the Air filter
- new tires all around.
Here are some before and aftershots. Excuse the cell phone pics. They were quick and sunlight wasnt the best.

Looking good, mine also has some pinstripes that I want to get rid of but I'm afraid that I might mess up my car somehow -.-. The wheels look great too, I was looking to get some OEM gunmetal rims but those look just as good. Did you paint the wheels yourself or get them powder coated?

you can tell the pinstripes were there if you look hard enough. IM hoping the detailer can minimize that effect. deff better without though.
Yea I rattle canned them with Duplicolor wheel paint. Alot of the road rash and scuffs and stuff on the wheels are hidden well now. Not perfect or ideal, but for a cheap job its 100x better until I get wheels

IM not sure if I will drop it or not. I wont do springs. . . thats for sure. Since it must see PA winters options are limited to coilovers or stay stock.
IM getting too old to be driving slammed cars in the snow. hahahaha
I personally think the dark wheels look better on a blue car. I wanted to do black, but wanted to keep it somewhat classy looking. Bronze was another option, but could not find any.
If I get sick of the color I can easily respray them. Its simple enough.
Yea 35% is a little light for me. I only did the fronts %35 because the backs looked to be it. Once I got them done though it looks different from inside so Im ripping it all off and doing 20% all around next week. Normally I would do darker, but my vision has gotten worse as I got older and cant see when backing up with dark windows at night anymore.
