Default Stock CD player cutting on and off! Help

I have 2004 IS and my CD player is stock. Yesterday my CD player started to act like it had a mind of its own. It would trun off and on. Anyone dealt with this before and if so any suggestions for a solution.

I though I share my JoeZ intake with a HKS filter!

It's your stock amp thats going out! you can replaced it or bypass it with if you get an aftermarket radio!

I found a stock amp from a 2002 IS and my car is a 2004. Do I need an amp from or a certain year range? Does it matter what year the car the amp comes from??

I have a 03 IS w/ stock 6 disc changer. mine is just starting to give me some issues with the cd player. certian discs come up as error on the screen but some discs that always work somtimes show up as error too. I think the laser or somthing in there is going bad. I can sometimes get the cd to work when it shows error if i turn the radio power off and on repeatedly until it kicks in and starts playing the first track. then it will start to sound like the disc is skipping but its not the disc, if im lucky sometimes it will play like nothing is wrong. but I cant switch back and forth from radio to cd without having to mess around to get the cd to play properly.
I wonder if anyone else is having this issue. Maybe its just time for the double din 7'' touch screen
