In the UK "Autocar"-magazine of 31.July, they have pictures of an disguised IS430:D It comes whit an 300hp V8, six-speed manulal,zero to 60 in less than six seconds and a limited top speed of 155!!

Is there any info of a price?

Sorry, no info about the price. But it`s rivals cost around 30-35000 £

No, I`m not talking about the TTE version. The streetversion comes whitout the compressor. Some spies saw and heard it being tested at the Nurburgring. They said it was the best sounding Lexus ever!

Offcorse they will sell the the IS430 in the US; its Lexus biggest market. And Lexus really needs an M3 beater:)

As this was posted before, I told everyone this a couple of months ago. A head lexus person i know informed me that there are a couple of them already here in the us. In arizona. If anyone wants to argue and disagree with me you are wasting your time. This person is no little s#@$ at lexus, and he knows his stuff. I cant wait to see it though.. Oh, and I live a couple blocks away from the lexus corp. office...

i cant see lexus or toyota putting out a high performance IS300/Altezza that DOES NOT out perform - or match the M3.

what a waste of time. alreadty the IS300 is very close to the 330 in performance and feel. it would be a shame if they did not go all out and make a true M3 compeditor.

I think the more appropriate comparison is between the 325i and the IS300. I don't believe IS300 is anywhere near the vicinity of the 330.

The IS300 was getting pretty trashed on the Bimmer boards in comparison to the 325i. So, I was curious as to what you guys were saying over here. I think the IS300 is better than the 325i but Lexus has to find a legitimate competitor to the 330 before going after the M3.

I think the same thing, unless the car ends up selling for the same price as an IS300. 0-60 in under 6 seconds is great, but werent we all expecting it to do it in under five, or was the silver is430 pics we saw the TTE one?

yes, the charming 400 hp is the TTE compressor one.

under 6 to 60 is realli not enough for IS' competition these days, as MB C32, or M3 whooping around. it's IS time :)
