alright Eibach Pro Kit or Sportlines?
having trouble deciding and i just need to pick one and stick with it. what do you guys recommend? i hear the pro kit barley drops the car at all and i hear the sportlines give it a nice drop. but also im concerned about the damage to the stock shocks. eventually i know ill have to replace them but how soon? hows the ride quality on the sportlines? thanks for the input!

If you want lower than 1" then you gotta go with the sportlines. 1.4" drop on stock shocks is fine.....but you might as well save up and buy upgraded shocks at the same time. The more lower you go the ride quality get a little more harsh but not that bad.....that's just logic. Get comfy shocks like the Tokico HPs or illuminas to pair up with the sportlines.

I dropped my car over 2" with Eibach Pro Kit. I took the first 1.25 inch off with the pro kit and the next 1+" off with 30 series tires. It worked out perfect since I don't like cars with wheels sunk into the wells. I just want it lower so the car hugs the ground, by doing it half and half I was able to get a nice drop and keep an overall balanced look.

I have 106K on my stock struts. None of them leak and they all perform properly, I checked them on the car and off the car to make sure they sprung back properly. I'm not quite sure how many miles my car was on the stock springs as when I bought it, it had 95K miles and was on the Eibach Pro Kit, but it has prob 7-8K miles on the Sportline kit.

thats good news to me i have 58k on the stock shocks right now and the car is a 2003 hoping with the springs they will at least last me a year, then ill just get some koni's and call it a day

If you are not doing the work yourself, save up for new shocks. The money that you put into swapping the OEM shocks after they die could go toward new shocks. You will also have less down time. From what I understand, you won't get the full benefit until you get shocks that are valved to work with your springs.

well the reason im not doing shocks at the same time is mainly because i dont have the money for that right now but me and my buddy are going to do the spring swap and hes gonna help me do the shock swap when my stockies go out so i wont have to worry about labor or anything. SPORTLINES PURCHASED! they will go on in a few weeks, ill post pics after alignment, should look pretty good, hope it handles amazing! im excited

Also, I may add I myself have never gotten my car aligned after I put my springs on as I wanted to wait until I wore out this set of tires and purchased new ones. But tire wear has not been an issue for me all the tires are still wearing very good and not uneven, even after the springs and no alignment.

You're supposed to do it with the sportlines, but the pro kit supposedly is ok. I still think the pro kit needs realigned on the camber to reduce specific wear on the inside belt of the tire, but most people don't notice until the tire is completely off the car for inspection and your high tread tire is worthless due to the inner belt wear. It's extremely hard to spot by just glancing under the car. ALL cars have negative camber after the drop even if only 1.5 degree. There is always SOME inner wear. I paid $700 for a set of tires at the start of the year and only have a few thousand miles on them. I want them to last.
