disable daytime running lights
 

is there a way to disable the daytime running lights but they still work when you turn on the highbeams?

yes, there is a small box in front of the battery and fuse box, says "caution hot" or "warning hot" that is the resistor pack to the DRL, (NOT THE ONE THAT SAYS DRL ON IT, JUST ABOVE THAT) just disconnect the harness where they connect, and zip tie, or tape the one wire to something sturdy, every now and then i clean it out to make sure i dont have dust or dirt in there.

I'd also suggest wrapping the exposed ends of the connectors in plastic to seal out the elements, in case you ever want to reconnect them. I applied some dielectric grease (you can get it at Radio Shack) to the contacts. then covered the connectors with small plastic bags, and wire-tied the bags closed.
