wheel width and offset question
im sure this question was probaly asked a million times but just need to know before i purchase...18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear with a 35 offset will i have any issues with the back ? oh and im planning to run 265.35.18tires in the rear...
Def rub in the rear.
Front will probably rub too. |
try a higher offset in order to clear 265's... +48
i am running 19x9.5 35 offset in my rear i had to run 225/35s and roll and quaters
Im running 18x9 +35 w/ tires at 235/40 and I rub. Still need to roll the rears and I might be good to go.
Are you lowered any?? If not, you can do whatever you like. Cus 4x4's dont rub lol j/k |
8's need to + 42-45mm and 9.5 need to be 48-50mm and 10's must be 55 + ..Hope that helps
thanks alot guys you all really helped, especially you lrd...im sure i might still have to roll the rear but know i what offset would be best for the width...
what if i decide to go with a 9" wide rear wheel what offset would be best ? and what size tire would be best for the rear for a 9" or 9.5" ?
i have 9" in the rear with +20 which sticks out about an inch
and i use 215/45 so if you want it to clear i say anything above +25 should be good with that setup |
but do i have to use a 215 tire ? my car is turbo and i need traction...
^naw, get the 265's but use a much higher offset and roll the fenders
how high offset you think would be good ?
8.5 +45ish with a 235/40/18
9.5 +55ish with a 265/30/18 (or is the right size 265/35/18?) You might need to roll or just shave your fenders a little. |
