If you own a manual transmission IS300
Hey guys,
If you own the manual transmission, could you plz tell me what your RPM reading is when you're doing 60 mph and 70 mph on the highway in 5th gear? I asked this question a couple of years back and all the responses I got were from those with automatic transmissions. I might be looking into buying a manual, and just wanted to find out.
Thanks a bunch
Cheers

Pole Position
im at 3.2-3.4 RPM in 5th gear when im going almost 80 mph. im at like 3.0 when im at 70 mph.
if you are looking for good mpg, i wouldnt reccomend this car. though i love my IS300, i only get about 280-300 (if im lucky) miles on a full tank.

4300 at 80 !!!
275 - 280 for 15 galls in Dallas traffic, mainly stop and go traffic lights etc.
I think this is OK, about 18-19 city. ( Only got 21 -22 out of manual SE-R 2.0 B14 on same commute. )
Looking forward to a hiway trip expect 24 - 25 mpg. (70 - 80+ mph )

My '02 sits around 3.2-3.5 doing 75. I'm used to the 6pd in my old supra, but my mkIV na ran at the same rpm's as the IS. I always feel like its too high. Maybe it's just me.
