You can't 'make it' play MP3s. If it wasn't made to play MP3s, then it won't play MP3s. Either get a new deck, or an FM transmitted for your ipod or something...

for the mp3 thing: the easiest with great quality is the Vais Unit. just keep an eye on ebay. i got mine for under 100.

for the other part. i know you have to pop the bottom of the back seat up, and then remove it from the car. then the back of the rear seat. then the trim, then the deck will come off. its a pain. what i would do is dynomat the trunk or at least the underside (trunk side) of the rear deck.

good luck

well if its just jammed, thats an easy fix. just search here or my.is there are quick instructions on how to remove the radio and take off the panel that gives you access to the problem. i would replace with a nice aftermarket deck before trying to get another factory deck. because with this car you have to replace the amp....and then that means you have to replace the rear speakers. :-\ easier to just get another aftermarket deck. i have an alpine deck i have for sale for $200 if you need one.
