Default Staggered wheel/tire..advantage ?

So when I see M3's with the factory staggered wheel/tire set-up, what is the advantage to this ? Looks cool, and you can have one fat-*** tire in the back.....rotating tires is out of the question....but is there some enhanced degree of turn in ?

It's mostly to get more contact for the tires that supply the power...more grip = better...usually, wider will get you more grip...

Thumbs up NICE

One of the nicest I've seen in my humble opinion. I want to unstockify mine after spending some time crusing through the picture galleries. Hey, BlownIS... what are the specs on your car with all that work you did to it? 1/4, RWHP, etc... I want to start my modifications, but I'm not sure which route to take. Supercharger, Turbo, NOS. I have an RMM intake and like the extra pull I feel (or think I feel) but I want more... more... more... more...

hav'nt done 1/4 mile timings yet,but at the mo its running 6.5 upto 60 mph, thats at 230bhp,in the new year im getting a stage 2 boost fitted which will give me 250 bhp, after that it will be an engine rebuild using JE pistons,a nitrated crank, and phospher coated valves, plus increasing compression,my aim is 300 bhp, there are many plans in the pipeline some cosmetic and some mechanical, eventually NOS will be getting fitted but more for drag than street

also im getting a custom exhaust twin straight through stainless pipes to two 5" tail pipes, exiting either side of the rear, much like the Zeal pipes but im also replacing the cats with normal pipe, this will release another few hp
