Hello,

Im in the process of purchasing a Lexus IS 300 2002 5m, roughly 35-40k miles. Is there anything significant I should know about this vehicle, also what are some key things that break / wear and tear. Also key maintenance intervals, thanks guys.

When you get the car, go to www.lexus.com and register the car. You will b able to download a maintenance pamphlet and order a free owners manual also.

The car is like all Lexus, nice and solid.

if possible i would skip 01. it has some stuff that are missing and they were fixed since 02. not that 01 are bad, but for about the same money you might have less trouble with 02+
