Anybody know how to remove the coin holders? I want to replace one of the coin holders for an alarm LED.
Thanks.

I think all you have to do is pull it out.
Or, just remove the whole panel - there are only 3 screws. That's what I did.

yup, its just held on by two tabs, pull it off, shouldnt need too much force, if you feel more comfortable, just unscrew the panel and unlatch the tabs from the inside, even if you do mess up the coin holders, I doubt they would be very expensive to replace... i had pics and a tutorial on is300.net on how to take apart the interior, but alas, that sight is down right now :(

No need to unscrew anything. Just pull on the two existing coinholders in a downward pulling motion toward yourself, if you are sitting in the drivers seat. the two coin holders and the blank cover can be removed via two release clips per coinholder, just squeaze on the clips. I actually installed a third coinholder, thus a row of three coinholders on the left side, each holder holds 8 quarters, so I can have $6 of change in them. or if you take the toll roads frequently, you can put $24 worth of change via the new golden dollar they have out now, with the Indian pocahontes chick on it. Those coin holders are expensive at the dealers! I asked the parts dept and they quoted my $8 per coinholder!!!!!! WTF?! Friend who use to work for a Toyota dealer got me mine for free, unfortunately he is in IT now. WTF! EVERYONE is in the new economy.

thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to end up ripping off parts of the dash. I'll go try it after work.
