Is anyone making an arm rest for the IS 300. My Saturn SC 1991 first year came without one. Within months the Saturn dealer had one to offer. It was a marvelous add on and one I really was glad I got. This same type could be easily done for the IS.
I paid about $95 for mine back in 1991, I bet the volume would be pretty good for this ad on. I went to a Saturn site and they still sell 'em for between $85 & $119. It held plenty of CD's along with other glove box type stuff. Saturn had a small coin tray near the back of the console. The way the add on worked was just remove the felt mat and plug it in the coin holder and attach it with two screws. Ours could be done by removing existing cubby cover and mounting the new one and maybe use the original cover on the new arm rest

Yeah Lexus is putting an arm rest in the 2002 IS3's. From what I have heard and read, we will be able to upgrade it when the 2002's come out. I still speculate some though. I just have not seen the actual arm rest in person.

Mjdart...On a side note, I am not sure if you should be posting your VIN # in your signature. Just my 0.02 worth for security purposed.

Default Arm rest - good news

That's great news to hear. I'm curious to how they'll do it into the existing design.
