Next week I am getting my supercharger from Area 51 Installed. Here is the info on the kit. I just copied and pasted from a thread on is300.net from "Area 51 Dave"

http://www.is300.net/cgi-bin/ubb/ult...c&f=2&t=000804
Finally....the Area 51 Supercharger is available!
We wrapped things up a little quicker than we had thought so here is the information. (pictures of the kit and the dyno sheet will be added to the thread later)

Kit will include:
Vortech V-1 S-Trim Supercharger
Vortech Maxflow Race Blow Off Valve
MSD DIS 4 ingition system
Greddy Rebic IV Additional Injector
Controller
890 cc Injector
AutoMeter Boost Gauge
All necessary Brackets and Piping
All necessary belts and wiring

Although not included in the kit, we STRONGLY RECCOMEND a high flow aftermarket exhaust. Within Area 51, the preferred exhaust is the new 5 Zigen. We would also recommed a vented hood, which Area 51 now has available in fiberglass and carbon fiber (pictures to be posted later today)

Performance:
6.5 lbs of boost
Wheel HP of 252.58, with an assumed 21% drive line power loss (170 WHP stock verus 215 HP)translates into 320 HP at the flywheel. Peak HP gain was at 5738 RPM
Wheel Torque of 269.27, attained at 4042 RPM.
NOTE: The ambient air temp was 80 degrees when the data above was recorded.

Pricing:
Retail Price is $5,495
First 10 customers who place deposits will get a $300 discount
W/D and other reseller pricing, please contact A51 directly.

Deposits of $3,000 is required to secure your order.

Orders taken now will arrive in approximately 4 weeks. Order processing will be accelerated when installation is completed at Area 51.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We can be reached at 949.472.6320 or contact us via email at sales@area51fab.com.
Ill get my dyno charts and post them on here after the install. Ill also post some pics then too

Question

Is that SC Kit approved by the California Air Resources Board? Just curious, I do know that if it is CARB approved Lexus cannot void your warranty. Also you might have a problem the next time you go in for a smog check. Modified air intake.

It isn't carb aproved but im pretty sure they are trying to get it done. As far as the smog check... I have a few buddies that have their own smog shops My warranty is going to be over pretty soon anyway so Im not too worried about getting it voided (i have over 30,000 miles) Im more than half way there.

30000+ miles on a 2001? Do you have a 300mile commute to work?

Any info on if they're developing a S/C for the GS3 with the same supercharger?

Yea.. I drive way too much! I also drive out to vegas and frisco a lot.

They are planning on doing GS300 with the same type of kit. I dont think there would be much difference. Im sure now that they are selling the kits for the IS, that you could get one on a GS300. You should give them a call if your interested. 949.472.6320
