I thought this would be an intersting topic with all the talk about what the HP will be for the new IS. Sooooo Lexus already knows how the IS performs with a huge jump in HP according to this article taken from the Lexus Official Website. Interesting to see the Key Features & Specifications. They have already dabbled in how the ML sound system will sound & fit too, sounds like Lexus has already done alot of research before launching this new IS. Of course we know it's not going to have a V8 but still they must have research the handling with higher HP & how the car will handle with it and I'm sure there going to make the right fit with regard to HP with the V6. Look at the torque the car can handle!!! And not much more weight!!

that car was featured on TLC's RIDES.....and I saw it in person at NY's Auto show last April 2004...

it was determined never to be made into a production car....

 

Yes year old news. The RMM built IS430 prototype was built after TTE's version.

 

My intent with this post was not to share that this was new, I fully understand this is old news but in light of the new IS making it's debut in the US and with specs for hp still not out, I thought it was interesting to see a V8 incorporated into the IS for handling/hp/torque comparison.

Just food for thought. Since I've not been a previous IS follower but just might be with this new 06 IS.
