No crank
Hi everyone.
I recently replaced the engine in my 2005 is300. I refreshed the new engine with new parts. But now that the engine is in the car, it won't crank! I made sure all grounding points were clean when I reinstalled everything, by clean I mean I wire-wheeled the contact points on both ends of the ground. I inspected the main 20A fuse, and it's fine. The 120A fuse is fine. I was checking the starter wire and it sparked on me haha so I know that is fine. The connector to the starter clicked into place with no problem. So I'm lost on where to test from here. Please help!

The engine you replaced, was it from another 05 IS300 or something else?
And just in case, go over every connector on that wiring harness and make sure it is securely connected. Sometimes a connector feels seated but its not, so the contacts are not touching.
I am pretty sure my car won't crank over if something as simple as my MAF is unplugged.

I jump started the started and it cranked, I did this by running a wire from the connector to the main starter wire. So that’s helping me narrow it down. The starter connector is not getting any current.
Do you guys have any idea of what might cause this?
Bad Key?
Faulty wiring.
help
I installed the shifter linkage incorrectly…. I know.. what a amateur hahaha. But it wasn’t fully extended when I bulged it down so the car wasn’t in park whenever I shifted it to park. After I fixed that, the car started right up!
don’t make the same mistake as me guys!
