Can anyone explain to me how the hybrid battery and the AGM battery in the trunk work/coexist in these cars? While driving, does the hybrid battery get charged, or does the AGM battery? I'm just curious because I recently hardwired a Viofo A129 Duo dash cam with parking mode on the wife's ES300h on Sunday and when I checked on it last night, it had been recording for 50 hours (Only had the front cam connected and still need to confirm final recording time). I'm just surprised that the dash cam had not shut off yet, so I am wondering if it's feeding off both batteries?

 

Auxiliary AGM battery only gets charged only gets charged when the car is on.

Hybrid battery gets disconnected completely when the car is off.
