Now if they ran your VIN and your vehicle isnt cover by this, then you call Lexus Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-255-3987.
Find out from them if your vehicle does fall into the DLF recall
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...3V396-6734.pdf

This is assuming that your IPM indeed failed.
Your problem could not be related to this but its likely it could be.

As for an O2 sensor recall, i dont think there was one.
There could be a Service Bulletin out for that.
Now those do expire.

I would call the Lexus Customer Assistance Center first just to see if your vehicle does fall into the recall.
Get your VIN number on hand.
They will need this.

Hoping for the best.
Thank you. I'll call now. I'll let you all know what I find out.

Thanks, I called and the case manager called me back saying my vin wasn't recalled, even though my car had the same exact issues, and was the same make model and year. I am just beside myself, just bought this car three months ago with cash from an accident settlement. Now it's a just a BRICK in my cul-de-sac...

I would use all resources for Lexus to cover it.
Im sure you dont want to pay out of pocket for this issue.

Maybe find out and get a hold of the Lexus rep in your area.
Offer a deal like they cover the parts and you pay for the labor or some sort.

If not call Toyota corporate.

you need to get a proper diagnosis on the car. Once the codes are read you should have some idea of what is going on.

I agree.
It was mentioned here numerous times for the OP to have the codes checked.
I dont know if he/she has done it.

Well I filed this complaint with the NHTSA... Sent a photo of my dash lights as posted in this post...

Complaint Number: 11175800
Your Vehicle's Make Model and Model Year: LEXUS RX400H 2006
Note: Your VIN, make, model, and year are all protected under the Privacy Act.
What part of your car was affected? Elec. Stability Control, Fuel/Propulsion System
What happened?
My 2006 Lexus RX400H that I just purchased a few months ago from a local dealer (one owner prior) Has shut down going down our mountain. Taking my boys to school it just stopped in the middle of the road as we coasted down our mountain, and the brakes just stopped working. I was able to coast into my neighbors' driveway and barely able to use my brakes. They didn't work when the hybrid light came on. Extremely scary! It happened a few times prior to this in these last few months, but I was able to get it started again previously. It's now a brick with a dashboard of lights! I am being told by Lexus this has nothing to do with the inverter recall and in fact, they claimed that they already replaced it prior to my ownership a few months back, replaced in 2012, later to find out that was not true. I have the service records from the first owner. I need to know what is wrong with my car. It had to be towed from my neighbor's home about 500 feet down our mountain, back up to our home about 500' back up. This is a safety issue that was either not recalled or needs to be fixed again after the recall. Please give me some advice. I will have to have it towed to the mechanics when they open. Some photos of my dash, any suggestions? Lexus needs to pay for these repairs. This is a severe safety issue! Thank GOD I was able to coast into my neighbor's driveway. I can't imagine had this happened on the highway in traffic. I can't believe that LEXUS will not stand behind this safety issue and I am deeply concerned for the safety of my family. Please reopen this case and include my vin number in this recall.

I can't get the codes checked because the only place nearby that has a computer able to read the codes is in the process of moving their shop. My car is parked in my cul-de-sac and when he can come by he will. I am at a stand still until that happens. Lexus isn't willing to help.

Why don’t you just take it to the dealer? For $150 diagnostics fee, they’ll be able to tell you almost exactly what’s wrong.

could be additional $100 to fix or $10k. no one knows. Could be leaf stuck under the hood.

the nearest Lexus dealership is 1 hour 20 min away. That would be a very expensive tow. Then I can’t leave it there, so I’d have to tow it back, if I can’t afford to fix it.

Just so you know, battery voltage is one small part of testing a battery. It comes down to cranking amps and cold cranking amps, and needs an actual battery tester to test. Here is a list of all the times the 12V battery has been replaced in your vehicle:
