I'm going to be revisiting this when the weather is a little nicer. Did you try driving with ECON grounded?

I had my ICE engine failed last year. only the electric motor ran (with check hybrid system warning ) the vehicle could only accelerate to 22mpg at a very slow pace. Too slow for regular driving. THe Traction battery also dropped rapidly. I would estimate I could not get more than a few blocks distance. I can concede that my system may have restricted acceleration in limp mode, however I am convinced that it can not do any real distance in EV.

Good luck on your experimentation and let us know.

The point of the EV button, or even hybrid cars in general, never was to drive as far as possible in electric mode. I would use it only for not having to fire up the engine when for example taking my car out of the garage.

I could not convert it to JPG to upload (adobe tells me image is too wide!)

using the info in that PDF, I was able to label as many connectors as possible. Some are still blank as they were not in the diagram. Hopefully this is of use to someone, perhaps just searching the terms in google many years in the future! If I discover the missing info I will edit this post.
