Default Highlander Drive by Wire??

Recently bought a 2006 Highlander hybrid and was curious if it's drive by wire or not? It does have a conventional shifter like any Toyota SUV with a conventional transmission as opposed to the Prius style shifter so I'm not Sure. I haven't got under the engine to see if there's a physical cable going to the throttlebody so I just figured I'd ask here. Anyone happen to know? Thanks!

Easy check. Start the system. Give it some gas and hold. If it cuts off engine after about 15 seconds of running at higher rpm, and then you can press it all the way down into the floor and nothing happens - you have DBW system. PSD, power split device, does not have any gears to shift anyway. It's all electronically controlled epicyclical gear set mated to two electric motors.

All Toyota/Lexus hybrids to date use the same Hybrid Synergy Drive setup. The throttle is not a mechanical linkage.
