Akebono Brake Pads
Our RX has about 190,000 miles. We had the RX in the dealer to install the new dash a few months ago and they told my wife we need new pads. I'm going to check them before I order pad of course.
Has anyone who installed these pads experienced less "bite" when applying the brakes ? They seem to have a great reputation but I noticed some reviewers commented that they had less grabbing compared to their OEM Pads.
Any of you all who have installed them on your RX experience that ?

I installed a set on the front of my '08 RX400h just this past June. I can't say that I have noticed any difference from the original brake pads. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

I have Akebonos on the rear brakes of my 01 VW Golf TDI, the OEM pads were notorious for short-life (40K miles) and horrible brake dust. I have 80K miles on them and more than 50% left on the pads. I put in a set of Hawk HPS on front at the same time, so I can't really comment on the braking changes with just the Akebono.

I’m sure nothing is perfect from the factory.
Hit potholes every day where I live, no avoiding it, but 4 years later, zero plans for alignment, even tire wear, drives straight.

I got some and they were "EE" rated, they were also made by Akebono but felt way too mushy and soft compared to the ProACTs.
