I'm not sure about all the problems I've heard about on this forum, but I have had mine for almost a month now, and I haven't had any issues at all. I love my 2016 RX 450h and would buy it again in a second.... I had a 2008 RX 450h and a 2012 RX 450h, and never had any problems with them either. It's a great improvement over the 2012.

I don't think the posts here indicate any major issues with the 2016 RX's. Remember that most folks don't visit a forum unless they happen to have some sort of problem.

Yep. If you read these forums you will think the 4th gen was the worst but I would buy another in a second if I lost the one I have.

I have owned a 450h and 350RX from previous years and the new 2016 knocks it out of the park in my opinion. People that would have never considered a new RX are buying them now.

Only had my 2016 RX 450h a few days, but I can truthfully say that it is much better than my 2015 model. The new one seems quieter running, the inside is quieter, it rides better, and the steering is much lighter. I really like the car and glad I bought it.

My first Lexus was a 2008 Rx400h; bought it used in 2010 with ~ 18k miles. Then went up to a '13 Rx450h and thought I was in heaven. I really never had any major mechanical issues with either vehicle. In fact, the most annoying problem was with the radio in my '13 Rxh, specifically with XM radio reception. I'd had XM installed in my '08 Rxh and it worked flawlessly. When I got the '13 Rxh it would cut out driving down streets with lots of trees. My wife's Hyundai Sonata never had problems in these kinds of environments and my Rx loaners never had these issues. They replaced the antenna and eventually, the radio itself. While reception did improve some when they replaced the radio it's still not quite there. It's the one thing I'm going to be listening very closely to when I drive it home.

I picked up my 4Rxh last week on Thursday and I'm loving it so far!

...However, I was supposed to take delivery on Weds but during the first few minutes of the delivery specialist talking me thru all the new stuff we discovered that the AC was not working. They called a guy to look at it but he could find nothing obvious. So they drove it back to the shop, put me in loaner and said, "we'll call you." Apparently the AC was low on freon. They charged the system and checked for leaks (over several hours) and found none. My fingers are now crossed, hoping this is not an omen.

Is anyone having issues with noisy brakes? Whenever I brake, I hear a sort of hydraulic/actuator noise coming from under the car. This can only be heard with the radio off but it is especially noticeable in parking garages. It is too loud for me to think that it is normal - thoughts?

I'm trying to imagine what kind of noise you are describing. I drive thru our parking garage at work every day, usually with the radio on (not loud) and I haven't noticed anything unusual. However, at times I am tempted to take a wire cutters to the the speaker that plays the alien-sounding noise in EV mode.

Are you talking about the calipers clamping onto the disc? I don't really hear that either but I'd call that more of a mechanical noise (if I heard it).

It does sound more like a mechanical noise. When I drive into the parking garage SiriusXM cuts out, which makes the brake noise even more noticeable. You should turn off the radio and try it. I will ask my dealer to check it out next servicing since it sounds abnormal.

Erican13...did you get a resolution to brake noise? Got my 450H in August and the brake noise is there at low speed. Asked two dealers about it and both said that it is a normal sound and other 450Hs have the same noise. I was not able to confirm as the last dealer did not have a 450H on the lot for me to drive. The noise does not sound right and will ask the dealer again to check it.

Blemish on dash, they fixed it.
Navigation acted up, they replaced it.
Gas tank/fuel gauge issue, they fixed it.

Noises? I don't hear the EV pedestrian warning or brake noise. The parking brake does make a activation/deactivation noise when car put is put in/out park...normal.

Very few complaints after 11,000 miles. Guess I need to spend some time with windows open in a parking garage.

Dealer told me that they left space in the pads so that they could expand. When the pads are cold you hear the clicking noise. Not sure I believe this explanation. I should probably go test another 450h. Please let me know what you find out...it's concerning to have noise coming from a critical part of your car.

Wow, David! I thought I was putting miles on my Rxh! I also had the dash blemish. It took them several tries to "fix it" and they guy they sub'ed it out to did a fantastic job. However, I've since found that if I try to wipe it off with anything but a microfiber cloth I get "streak" marks on it. Whatever material they used for this is way too "soft." The dash should not be that sensitive to marks, considering people (like my wife) typically throw stuff up there when they get in the car or put their feet up on the dash when stopped. I don't want to have to take it to the dealer every time I find a mark in the dash that I can't fix. Anyone else have (or had) this dash issue? It's a bit annoying on a vehicle that stickers for $50k+. Do all Rx's have the same dash? Is this just the "luxury" dash?
