Have you tried resetting the trip? I am assuming you are going off of what the computer says in the dash when you hit "disp" when you are on the avg page hold "disp" until the numbers reset.

From my experience...4 months of ownership...I would have to try to get 18mpg. I am seeing 25-26mpg with 65-75 mph cruising.

One item that is most often overlooked is the regular 12V battery. I would go and have that checked to see if it is healthy. Believe it or not the 12v does have an effect on the hybrid system

Seems like the LS600H guys have discussed this as a potential performance issue.

Let us know what you find out!

Default Thank uou

I checked that ,I will check the battry for sure.
But im pretty sure car uses this much gas. 17 to 18 MPG 80% city 20% highway
Very rarely I see electric motor helps after 20 miles
I ordered spark plugs online to change them.
Check the Air filter and add an fuel injector.
Hope to find out why car is like this.

I'd look into a Hybrid battery shop since you are in CA. Do a preemptive "tune up" on the battery. The buss bars that connect the individual cells together could be corroded, and some of the cells may be near their failure point as far as voltage. Individual cells are cheap. Much better to get this work done now while the car is still operational, vs when you have to tow it somewhere.

I paid $40 for a cell on ebay. The Techstream software/cable can tells you the individual cell voltages, but unless you are experienced with high voltage applications, I'd bring it somewhere.

Awesome information Thank you

It's been 14 days that I owned the car and I love it( except gas milage)

Things I did on the car:

1) Just using CHEVRON premium gas
2) Added a bottle of STD injection cleaner in 3/4 full of tank
3) Added THECHRON from CHEVRON bottle to a 1/2 full of tank
4) cleaned Mass air flow sensor with CRC ( That was dirty)
5) Cleaned Throttle Body with CRC ( very dirty)
6) Changed Spark plugs with DENSO 4705 Iridium Spark Plug ( that was chalenging)
7) Check the 12 V battery after 2 hours of car was off, that was 12.7 V
8) Checked the battery under the trunk in spare tire place (which my car doesn't have it) and also I still don't know what is that battery for) it was 12.5 V
9) Changed Fog light with HID and day running light with LED . look very nice.

I am going to Pep boys to check my Hybrid system . I called them they can check the system for me.

Also going to order " VCI Diagnostic Cable for Toyota Lexus TIS Techstream fw" to check other things might not working well on the car.

The car is look very clean and work awesome .
only thing is that The car has only 4 service history on CARFAX and I am assuming the previous owner used the local shops .
maybe I have to check the car with DIAG ( I don't know if Techstream can substitute with DIAG or are the same)

I get 16MPG with 90% city driving.

If you think of anything else please let me know .

The second battery is for the active suspension. (I forgot the official name) Pretty rare option.

Just curious, do you have a button that looks like this on the right hand of your steering wheel. (taken from an ES)

I am officially jealous.

What size tires do you have?

The guy at the tire place talked me into wider profile tires because they would look better. Well they do, but my mileage took a hit.

In just city driving I get 18-19 as well.

There's your problem. Heavy unsprung weight. OEM 18s would help.

I think you were wise to replace them.
