Looking to Buy 2007 GS 450H
I'm looking at a 2007 Lexus GS 450H with 85K miles on it. Its a One owner car and local trade at a mercedes dealership. If i buy I plan to make this my daily driver and usually put anywhere from 25 to 100 miles a day on my car currently and was wondering if this would be an Ideal car to buy? The other thing is that I don't know much about Hybrids, but everyone here raves about how great this car is and I'm 90% on board.
What should I look for when buying? Its not a CPO, so is there something in particular that these cars need done at 85K that I should have the dealership do or try to get them to deduct off the price.
Thanks in advance and look forward to everyones help.

Well IMO I would say no to 85k but if you wish to go through with it you should make sure all the work has been done so the spark plugs, drive belt, ball joints, all fluids especially coolant, water pump. The only thing you need to find out is the in service date because you should still have a hybrid warranty its 8 years or 100,000 miles. Make sure they do the 90k check since its 5k away might as well.

If your buying from a dealer... they are not going to do isht on the car if it isn't CPO. Especially if it isn't a Lexus dealer.
Check the valve covers for leaks, makes sure you floor the car a few times to drain the battery, then make sure it charges up normally.
Run the VIN on lexus's site, check make sure all the service work has been done

Thanks for the information. I will do my due diligence and decide if this is the car for me. Seems as though if the maintenance isn't done as recommended by Lexus then there is more of a chance that the 450H will have long-term issues. I have great faith in Lexus and not giving up on this car yet.
