I took delivery about 1 month ago (2011 RX 450h AWD- Silver color)....and just noticed this.....

in 2011 450h awd models..... do they offer:
-Motorized Folding Mirrors
- Illuminated Door sills

I don't have either option on my RX...and was wondering....


Did I forget to ask for these options? or are they Not available in 2011 for the 450h?

 

Not sure about the outside mirrors but you can get the door sills from dealers. Congrats.

Yes you could have gotton them but they are in the $4800 Luxury package.

 

The illuminated sills will run you about $400 from Sewell. They're totally plug and play, probably the easiest change to make. Since I switched to white LED interior lights, I went with the white sills. The match is perfect.

 

Yep those options are part of the luxury package. Most people don't end up getting it either because it costs too much (a lot of things are bundled in) or because they don't know about it. Dealers usually only have the premium package on the lots

 

man that bites......I will lookup Sewell Lexus for the Door Sills

I needed the other options that were with the package. Had to special order the car to get it.

Ok, so I went home and checked my car to see for sure if I had it or not. I don't

And then I got disgruntled about the headlamp washers, lol. I don't think I have them (also just part of the luxury package, right?) My car has the NAV w/12-speakers, Premium Package, Comfort Package, wood trim, and a few other a la carte items.

But I do see the little squares in the bumper where the washers should be - can Lexus add this to the car? Anyone know what that would cost?

Of course, I can live without it, but now that I know it exists, I wantsssss it!

 

Erica, I have headlamp washers on mine and I don't have the luxury package. Check the buttons to the lower left of the steering wheel. There should be a headlight washer button to the left of the button to open the tailgate. Or turn on your headlights and pull the wiper stalk forward to clean the windshield. Just make sure you do it when the RX is dirty

About the only thing I would have liked to add to my special order were the folding mirrors. But I knew I couldn't get the luxury and sport packages together. Maybe somewhere down the line it can be added. In the meantime I'm enjoying the illuminated sills and other things I've done to my 450h

 

Are they ONLY offered for the Front 2 Doors.....? (driver/passenger sides)
Or do they offer 4 door sills for all 4 doors?

Even from the factory, they only have the two front sills lighted.
