ok BAD NEWS THE beatsonic nav bypass quit work..The cat 5 cable is good at least by ohming out, and the switch appears good, however the plug by the nav unit appears weird as the pin locations are different than on the cable when ohming out..I placed a touble call with them...Funny they sent a email shortly after I purchased but since i just installed did not encounter the problem they described until this morning..It worked yesterday, but not today...The DVD bypass still works fine...wish me luck.

The wires on the Navigation end of the harness are wrong...They should go to pin 1 &5, but dont...I switched the wire and now it works...Beatsonic didnot know how to fix the problem..I called and sent them a schematic...

Can you tell me what you did to solve the nav problem. I have been going back and fourth with beatsonic for a month now. My nav bypass works for 30 seconds then goes black. They do not know what the problem is. I have installed everything right but can only get the bypass to work 30 seconds. Then you have to flip the switch off wait 10 seconds then you can get another 30 seconds. Not a real big deal but.....

I took the plug for the network cable that is attached to the nav bypass harness and cut the heat shrink off. When I did this I found a wire on H3 (soldered)I moved this to the H8 position....Basically the switch is located on pins 1 & 5 of the ethernet cat 5 cable....The other end in the plug is miss wired..It should also be 1&5 to provide continuity to the two blue wires in the harness. I sent beatsonic a schematic drawing and they are checking with their engineers, however the seller doesnt appear to know anything about the wiring...The key is the switch basically opens or closes the path to the two blue wires in the white wire bypass plug assembly down by the nav unit. After i did this I have complete control of the nav while rolling. You can google cat 5 cable plug and get the pin locations...With the switch depressed you should be able to measure around 0 ohms on the end where the blue wires go in. It actually measured 10 ohms do to the resistance of the ethernet cable length...Should be across pin 1 & 5 I think they just soldered the wrong wires...But they are still going to get back to me.

Well that is not the problem in my 08 400h. It works for 30 seconds then controls gray out. If you turn the switch off for a few seconds and then back on, you get another 30 seconds. Im running the newest software. think maybe there is something in the software causing this? Im stumped so is beat sonic. The phone bypass works great. This is livable, just a minor annoyance.

And you had continuity to the two blue wires when the switch is actuated? I am running the last software, but not the 2010 software.

I am living with it. I put the switch in a close area so its 30 seconds on 10 off. Hopefully they will find an answer. They did offer a refund.
