I am fairly new to the gs450h and wondered if any owner has noticed somtimes a hesitant moment about 150KW when flooring it . Then the accel continues up to 250Kw...as if it is changing cogs!!!

Never noticed it....would have to check...to ME sometimes I can feel something around 50-55 mph but I figure its just the oddity of the CVT tranny.

 

The brief hesitation you feel is the switch between the two planetary gears. Our cars have a second iteration of the HSD that has two planetary gears so they are more efficient at high speed. It will happen around 50-60mph. You can see it in the attached youtube video around 0:15.
