Drove mine over 45 miles with at least an inch of ice with about 3-4" of snow. We were able to go up and down the hills, came to a complete stop went is needed. These roads are not flat, meaning up and down, 2 lanes highway. We have a 2011 FWD. Tires play one of the key component in snow.

Up in VT for the week - lots of snow here. Have an AWD with 19" Bridgestones. Switching between sport and hybrid snow - no problems so far.

I call it the plow. The weight squashes the slush and snow. My only complaint is the weak reverse system resulting in difficulty going backwards uphill in the snow.

I decided to not put the snows on and test out the Michelin factory tires. No complaints, but next year I will put the snows on.
